About Fred Linder:
Fred got his first race car when he was 16 and for the next 24 years Fred could be found behind the wheel of a Sprint Car. While the dirt track in Freemont Ohio was right in his hometown, Fred wanted to compete as an "Outlaw". He raced and won at both dirt and asphalt tracks through much of the Midwest and even found himself racing in Arizona.
Fred was always a hands-on mechanic/driver. As his racing career progressed, so did his understanding and knowledge of matching shock valving to track conditions. This ability was one of the advantages Fred utilized in route to capturing Two championships with the All-Star Circuit of Champions.
In 1988 Fred put his racing career aside as he was recruited by PRO Shocks to help with their push into the Motorsports Industry. Fred's accomplishments on the track over the years did not go unnoticed, in 2010 he was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame 2010
1988 was the start of a 24-year career for Fred at PRO Shocks. He led a team that was involved at the forefront of innovation for the company. The PRO Shocks name became synonymous with durability, longevity, and repeatability in the racing industry.
Fred's approach to personal service provided valuable racer feedback utilized in helping PRO Shocks becoming one of the most recognizable and trusted names in short track racing industry. Through continuous innovation, PRO Shocks helped both dirt and asphalt drivers and teams win countless races and championships.
When Pro Shocks was sold in 2012, Fred decided the time was right to open his own business servicing, repairing, and revalving PRO Shocks. Since then, Fred has built a strong customer base who know they can count on Fred for quality workmanship resulting in a consistent and predictable shock.
Fred understands that repeatability and predictably are vital to the success of race teams. His experience and expertise has enabled him to guide racers of all backgrounds and abilities.
